Privacy Policy

Short version: Medical Event Recorder stores all of your data on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal or medical information. Your data never leaves your device unless you choose to export it yourself. If the app crashes, an anonymous crash report is sent to Sentry to help us fix the issue — this report contains no personal or health information.

2. What Information the App Uses

When you use Medical Event Recorder, you may record the following information about medical events:

6. Third-Party Services

Crash Reporting (Sentry)

Medical Event Recorder uses Sentry (sentry.io) to collect anonymous crash reports. If the app encounters an unhandled error, a report is automatically sent containing the error message, a technical stack trace, and your device's operating system and app version. Reports do not include your name, email address, IP address, or any health or medical data you have recorded in the app. Crash data is stored on Sentry's servers in the United States and retained for 30 days. Sentry's privacy policy is available at sentry.io/privacy.

The app may be distributed through third-party platforms (App Store, Google Play, Microsoft Store). Those platforms have their own privacy policies governing data collected at the platform level.

7. Children's Privacy

Medical Event Recorder is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Because all data is stored locally on your device and no information is transmitted to Notiva, the app does not have a mechanism to collect data from any user, including children. No account or registration is required to use the app.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has entered personal information into the app, you can delete that information directly within the app, or by uninstalling it.

8. Sensitive Health Information

No health data is transmitted or processed by Notiva.

9. Your Rights (Australian Privacy Act 1988)

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to access, correct, and delete personal information held about you. Because Medical Event Recorder stores all data locally on your device and transmits nothing to Notiva, you have full and direct control over your information at all times.
